Frequently asked questions
What counts as an "automatic connection"?
An automatic connection is when DNS.GLOBAL successfully deploys DNS records to a user's domain via a provider API (OAuth, API key, or Domain Connect). Manual fallback (copy-paste instructions) does not count against your automatic connection quota.
What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?
On Startup and Growth plans, overage is billed at $0.50 per additional automatic connection. There's a hard cap at 2x your plan's included connections — if you consistently exceed, we'll recommend upgrading. Enterprise plans have no caps.
Do Lippa and Call.com domains count against the limit?
No. Lippa and Call.com are internal tenants on the Enterprise tier at no cost, as they are owned by Accillion AS.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Is there a contract or commitment?
No contracts. Monthly plans cancel anytime. Annual plans are paid upfront with a 15% discount and can be cancelled at renewal.
What providers are included?
All plans include all supported providers. Phase 1 launches with Cloudflare, GoDaddy, IONOS, OVH, and Route 53 (full automation) plus Squarespace (detection + manual fallback). Phase 2 adds 12+ additional providers.
Do you offer a self-hosted option?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. A Docker-based deployment package is planned for Phase 3. Contact us for early access.
How does DNS.GLOBAL handle security?
OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and discarded after records are verified. We never store registrar passwords. Session tokens are backend-minted, single-use, and short-lived. Webhooks are HMAC-signed. See our security documentation for full details.
